SGM - Special General Meeting

Calling all Free Spirit Members!!

The Free Spirit Committee is planning our upcoming June Committee Meeting to be a Special General Meeting to discuss and vote on some very important changes to our community.

The team have been working hard behind the scenes, taking on board your feedback regarding the new identity for Free Spirit that was previously discussed at the AGM in January. We will be holding the meeting via ZOOM and invite our members to either send us your thoughts in advance of the meeting, or join in the discussion and vote on our name change to move forward from 'Free Spirit Dance Community Inc' and become 'Free Spirit Dance & Wellness Inc.'

After much deliberation and plenty of consultation and discussion, we feel that this name encompasses who we are as a community and is inclusive of all of the activities that we support. There is a lot involved in changing our identity - including admin, rebranding and (as always) lots of paperwork and we hope that you will be keen to give your feedback and walk beside us on this journey!

Change is never easy but we are sure that this new identity will be inclusive to all and be a direct representation of who we are, what we do and the direction in which we are hoping to go.

Our meetings include lots of excitement, laughs, reporting on previous activities, members, financials, OHS, any current issues and planning of upcoming events, so it's a great opportunity for you to have insight to what goes on behind the scenes. They also normally include some coffee and cake but on this occasion, we will all need to provide our own!
